Green Garnet
Ruby returns home to Devon for the holidays while Scarlett recuperates from a broken leg. Scarlett's mother, Angela, sends Ruby a blue topaz, and strange things happen from there on. Ruby time-travels into seventeenth-century Cornwall, where she meets Goat Boy and The Scholar, living under a permanently-grey sky. Ruby changes the sky from grey to blue, and goes back to her own century.
She meets Demi Blake, going home to Cornwall for the holidays.
But Ruby misses her stop, and goes to stay with Demi for the
night. While she is there, she learns the origin of the green
garnet necklace, meets pirates, and an oil painting of her seventeenth-century
friend talks to her. Ruby and Demi race back in time to retrieve a magnetic hammer so they can find the green
garnet and lift the curse - on the necklace and on Goat Boy.
